I have adopted a beautiful female seal mitted kitten from Karen three years ago. Princess has the most beautiful blue eyes, fluffy coat and purrfect mittens to finish of her looks! She is like my shadow and will quietly follow me from room to room during the day and sleep at my feet at night. No wonder the Ragdolls are called “puppy cats”! Ragdolls are gentle and affectionate animals good for both children and adult. I was so happy with my little kitty Princess that I had to go back to Rose Cottage and get my second Ragdoll cat, Frosty.  He is full of energy and loves to cuddle and play with my kids. Who needs toys or T.V when you’ve got such cute little Rag dolls? J Not only do I get healthy, fun loving cats from Rose cottage but they all come with a Karen-guaranty. Karen is an expert on Rag dolls and she will answer any problems or questions you have from your first day to any time after. I have kept in touch with Karen because she truly cares for her cats and her clients who I believe will always come back for more kitties.

I would like to comment on what a wonderful experience it was to have purchased 2 kittens from Rosebud Cottage. Both Karen and Al are very knowledgeable, kind people. They are patient and helpful. They want to be sure that the kitten is well matched to the buyer. They truly care if their kitten is getting what it needs and not just making a sale. They sell quality kittens and once the sale is done, they still will take time to continue to stay in touch and answer any concerns you may have. We had bought one and then just had to have one more. If your heart and finances allow, go for 2! The kittens are healthy, super socialized, and you will be spoiled to the point that you will find it hard to consider any other breed! We live in Wisconsin and it was well worth the travel time. In the fall of 2005, after loosing our beloved collie to old age, I was in the market to get a second Ragdoll cat as a companion to our cat. Upon searching the internet, I found Rose Cottage Ragdoll Cattery and decided to check out their site. What a wonderful start to adding two more Ragdolls to our household and beginning a new friendship with Karen and her husband, Al. I found a 7 month old seal point tortie listed on their site, inquired about her, and in a few weeks we were on our way home with Daisey. But, let me back up. I began e mailing Karen about the kitten, having a million questions of course.....Mainly how to integrate her with our female Ragdoll who ruled the roost ! Karen walked me and talked me through the process even before we brought Daisey home. The day we arrived at Rose Cottage to get Daisey, we were greeted with a warm, friendly smile from Karen and at least 10 Ragdolls of all ages, colors and sizes ! The cats were in my boots, in my shoes, on my coat and on me as if to say "Come on in, make yourself welcome, and play with us" ! The cattery was immaculate as were the animals...obviously well loved, groomed, and cared for. It was very difficult to take only one home at that time. As Daisey got used to her new home and older "sister", Bailey, who thought she had just received a new toy, my e mails to Karen were many to say the least. All of them were answered in a very timely, happy, helpful manner. Four years later in January 2009, I lost Bailey to a heart condition and was devastated to say the least. Karen brought me through the very difficult time with just the right words to say. I felt I needed another Ragdoll to take Bailey's place and inquired if there were any available. Karen urged me to take time to heal and when I was ready, she would be there. Well, in a week I found a beautiful blue bi color retired breeder/show cat named Yankee. He made his way into our home and hearts quickly needless to say. Karen once again made the transition seem effortless answering all the questions that arose. If and when I am in the market for another Ragdoll sweetheart, Karen will be my lady to do business with. She not only was very professional in her business dealings with me, but she has become a very good friend who I keep in contact with. She enjoys getting updates on Daisey and Yankee and continues to give me valuable information regarding their care, which proves she is there for her customers well after the sale is completed. We have two Ragdolls, Cocoa Puff - a Seal ColorPoint Tortie female beauty and Misty Blue - a Blue Mitted female cutie. The care with which Karen and Al raised these cats is very evident. They use their scratch posts and share a litter box quite nicely. We have a kitty jungle gym that they totally enjoy, and one of their favorite games is to chase a golf ball across the living room floor. If you are considering a cat in the future, I highly recommend Rose Cottage Ragdolls. Karen?s cats are large, fluffy, silky bundles of love. You will not be disappointed! I?m sure Karen and Al can match you up with just the right Ragdoll. Fair warning--you will not be happy with just one!!! And oh, by the way, when you go to pick up your new kitty, be sure to bring a very large trailer. Al will try to send a LLama home with you too! Ha!! Our family took Walter home in July of 2005, and we couldn't be happier. He is the perfect cat for our family thanks to Karen's help. We have two preschool boys that have come to love him so much that they gave him a nickname Kee Kee. He enjoys their kisses and hugs and is tolerant beyond your wildest dreams! Walter is very well socialized and has a great temperment!! He adapted quickly and loves people. He is very intelligent, wow what a personality. Walter loves our company and even his new brother, Bow, a 6 month old Labradoodle. They are the best of buddies! Karen's catery is spotless! Her cats are well loved and nurtured. We were very impressed and would not hesitate to get another kitten from Rose Cottage.

We got a boy and a girl Ragdoll from Karen and Al Hoppe about a year and a half ago. We couldn't be happier. The kittens are beautiful and friendly and very well trained (neither has ever missed the litter box). Karen and Al were very helpful and encouraged us to take our time selecting the right kittens and allowed us to spend lots of quality time with the kittens even before they were old enough to go to their new home. I believe you can tell that the kittens were born and raised in a house with a family of cat lovers. As a result, they are VERY friendly and affectionate even with almost perfect strangers. It seems obvious that they were very well treated by all the humans that they met even as very young kittens. Even some of our "Dog People" friends have remarked that they had never even considered getting a cat until they met our beautiful Ragdolls from Rose Cottage!!

We obtained 2 of our ragdoll girls from Karen & Al Hoppe of Rose Cottage just over 2 years ago. We have been in such awe in just being around our girls. They are exactly as described and more. What strikes us the most is how intelligent they are and how they communicate with us. We believe much of this is due to the selective breeding program Karen & Al have and clearly making sure their cats are placed in good loving homes. We have purchased two ragdoll kittens from Rose Cottage and couldn't be happier. These are healthy, beautiful katts with great catonalities (personalities). They love to travel, which is a good thing since we are an RVing family. Rose Cottage is an excellent breeder which we would highly recommend.

I obtained a retired breeder from Karen in June of 2004. You could not ask for a better quality pet than the Ragdoll I received from her! Pumba's mannerism and personality are wonderful. She is lovable and quite the lady of the house. Even though Pumba was almost 3 years old when I got her, she still came with a 2 year health guarantee and Karen and I have become great friends always talking about Pumba and how much I love her. Working with Karen was wonderful. What struck us immediately was the fact that she was evaluating us just as much as we were evaluating her, and she was going to make sure the "kids" were going to a good home. We're happy to report that we passed, and brought home Nigel and Hayley (aka "Peanut") almost 3 years ago. I believe Hayley even made Karen's hall of fame, and her picture is featured on the Rose Cottage web site... on top of Colleen's head! They are our constant companions. If you haven't experienced the breed, we highly recommend them. Our catsitter can't wait for us to leave town!

These are the prettiest Ragdolls in Michigan. I went to a Cat Show in Sept. and visited my closest breeder. But Rose Cottage which is father away from my area really believes in the Ragdoll breed and breeding them for the betterment of the breed. Not just for selling, you are purchasing a family member that has the best infrastructure and love, support system I have ever seen. If you live in Michigan, I would start here. ml

Rose Cottage is a great place to find a beautiful Ragdoll kitten. I have been there twice now to get kittens, and I think that Karen is wonderful to work with. All of her Ragdolls are absolutely beautiful and very loveable. I live in Illinois and there are plenty of Ragdoll breeders around me, but I will always go to Rose Cottage in Michigan to get any future kittens. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a beautiful Ragdoll to have of their own!!

Karen was wonderful in giving me all the information I needed when making a choice on purchasing a new kitten. She was great to work with and I continue to keep in touch with her. When I went to pick up Anna Belle the house was immaculate and all the cats were groomed and well cared for. My little Anna Belle is the best thing to happen to me in a long time and I have already decided that in a year or two I will be purchasing another kitten from Rose Cottage!

Sierra Lynn came into our home on September 25, 2005. Within two days she adjusted to her new home and surroundings. Friends and family who have met her all tell us that she is the most beautiful kitten they have ever seen. She is a seal mitted tortie ragdoll, her eyes are the most incredible blue and her coat and markings are just outstanding. Karen had given us a "teaser", my husband and I were sitting in the living room, Sierra brought the "teaser" to us she wanted to play, when we were done playing she took it back to the bedroom where she found it! Pretty soon I will be teaching her how to answer the phone! :) She loves to play especially "hide and seek". I could go on and on about her and how much joy she has already brought into our lives. I would like to thank Karen for all her guidance thru our emails. Her advice and responses to all our questions have been both fabulous and forthcoming! She has made our journey into owning a ragdoll kitty a wonderful and joyful experience. I would highly recommend Karen Hoppe and her Rose Cottage kittens.

We have purchased not one but TWO Ragdolls from Rose Cottage about a year and a half apart. We loved our first Seal Lynx Mitted female Ragdoll "Maui" so much a year and a half later we decided to give her a playmate, "Pucker", a Blue Mitted female ragdoll. These kittens REALLY ARE SWEET and LOVING BALLS of FLUFF!! From the time we began communication with Rose Cottage until we received our kittens we were treated with the utmost in warm and friendly professionalism. Every email question was answered promptly. Every "May I just have one MORE picture... PLEASE!" was granted. The warmth evident in our Rose Cottage communications is reflective of the LOVE and WARMTH each and every kitten and cat receives from Rose Cottage. When we received our kittens the breeders advised us it could take up to two weeks for them to feel at home. In a day or two each of them was literally.

My husband and I purchased two kittens from Karen of Rose Cottage, one in April, 2005 and another in July, 2005. Her cats are beautiful and well cared for, the place was very clean. Her love of the ragdoll shows.. We are very pleased with our kittens, Mia and Liley. I have never owned a cat before and always thought I was a dog person. Boy was I wrong, we both fell in love with them and can't imagine life without our lillle girls. We highly recommend a ragdoll from Rose Cottage.

I purchased a male Ragdoll kitten from this cattery over two years ago. This breeder clearly loves Ragdolls in general and her cats in particular. Her home is immaculate and her cats are as wonderful as they are beautiful. The kitten we got from this breeder has grown into a beautiful cat with the wonderul easy-going laid-back Ragdoll personality. He sees everyone and everything as his friend and is the goodwill ambassador to all the other household creatures. Wonderful temperment. This breeder is wonderful to do business with, is very knowledgeable and conscientious and has been extremely helpful and supportive when I've had any cat/Ragdoll related questions - also one of the nicest people I've known. I think it would be difficult to find a better person to deal with. I highly recommend this breeder and the cats from this cattery. My experience has been absolutely the best.
